Monday, March 14 – Help us fill your freezer on Pi Day!

Our frozen quiches and galettes are our most popular pies at SarahBakes, and they are on sale for this one day only! Each quiche is fully cooked and frozen, so all you need to do is reheat it in the oven. Each quiche is made with a variety of three cheeses and a super-flaky, all-butter pie crust, and you can choose between Ham with Spinach and Mushrooms, or a Veggie Quiche with Spinach, Mushrooms and Roasted Red Peppers – regularly priced at $30 each, our sale price is $28 each or 2+ for $55.

Our frozen galettes come in packs of four, and you can choose either raspberry or apple in your pack, or a mix of each. Our galettes are regularly priced at $20 per 4-pack, and our sale price is $18 per 4-pack.

Pi Day orders must be placed by Saturday, March 12th and pick up times will be available on Monday, March 14 between 11AM – 12PM or 5 – 6PM.

This year’s St. Patrick’s Day Specialties include a variety of festive sweet treats:

  • Decorated Sugar Cookies, with various shapes and designs
  • Chocolate Chip Mint Rainbows, with vanilla buttercream frosting 
  • Baileys Buttermilk Brownies, with festive sprinkles
  • Festive Chocolate Bark, with Callebaut Belgian chocolate, sunflower seeds & assorted candy toppings
    • available in one-pound bags and half-pound bags

St. Patrick’s Day orders must be placed by Monday, March 14th and will be available for pick-up from Tuesday, March 15 – Thursday, March 17 between 4 to 6 PM.

March 18 & 19 – Zeppole di San Giuseppe Mania is BACK!!!

The feast of St. Joseph is Friday, March 19 and we cannot wait to go crazy making Zeppole di San Giuseppe, a wonderful Italian pastry made just for this occasion. Zeppole di San Giuseppe are impressive, donut-sized, cream-puff style pastries filled with a sweet cream filling and topped with a syrupy Amarena cherry.

Following Italian tradition, these pastries are only available on Friday, March 18 and Saturday, March 19 in packages of 4 pastries for $20. I am offering two filling options this year: Vanilla Cream Custard and Chocolate Mousse. These will go fast and once they’re gone they won’t be available again until next year!

Zeppole Mania orders must be placed by Monday, March 14th and will be available for pick-up on Friday, March 18 from 5 to 6 PM and Saturday, March 19 from 12 to 1 PM.

I will be offering special menus for Easter, Mother’s Day and Syttende Mai, and custom graduation cookies & sweets orders are already starting to come in. Stay tuned for more details and if you have a specific request for May, I encourage you to get it to me soon because that month will be filled with baking!

It’s Zeppole di San Giuseppe Day!

March 19 (today) is the feast day of St. Joseph, and Italians everywhere are celebrating the arrival of Zeppole di San Giuseppe, a pastry treat of fried dough served on this occasion with a lush and creamy custard filling.

I first made Zeppole di San Giuseppe on this day last year when my brother-in-law, Emanuele, was visiting from Toronto. Emanuele and my husband, Tony, grew up in Etobicoke, Ontario, just a block or so away from the famed Italian deli and pastry shop, Sanremo Bakery. Read More
